Richard Pinnock with Apprentice star Kwame Jackson
After five years of dedicated service to INROADS, Richard Pinnock recently announced his retirement from the INROADS organization.
His achievements were many and notable. They included:
- Provided 325 summer internships positions and mentoring each intern through the INROADS and corporate recruiting process
- Generated $1.25 million in sponsorship fees
- Generated $3.25 million in intern wages
- $4.5 million total investment in diversity throughout the Greater Toronto Area
- Greatly expanded the corporate sponsor base beyond tradition recruiters
- Successfully built the INROADS Toronto organization into one of the INROADS leading affiliates
While Richard will be transitioning to a leadership role in the private sector, he will remain an active member of the INROADS Family.
We all owe a debt of gratitude to Richard who opened doors for us in the corporate world and frequently stayed up into the wee hours of the morning to mentor interns and recruits and to plan Saturday sessions and banquets (one intern called the office at 2 am expecting to leave a voice on the answering machine and was shocked that he answered).
Current staff, INROADS board members and over thirty alumni bid farewell to Richard at a celebration dinner on Friday, February 27th.
